GridIdle is designed to work without an account. This page explains the anonymous session data and website measurement used to keep the game useful.

Game saves

Your GridIdle progress is stored on the game server and associated with an anonymous, HTTP-only session cookie in the browser you are using. It does not automatically sync to another browser or device. Clearing site cookies can make that browser’s save inaccessible.

Website analytics

GridIdle uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand aggregate visits and improve the site. The site does not ask you to create an account or provide a name, email address, or payment information to play.

Questions

Because GridIdle does not provide accounts or cross-device cloud saves, there is no account profile to access, amend, or delete. You can clear the browser session cookie through your browser’s site-data controls.
